Group Honors

The mission of the Idaho Army National Guard Honor Guard is to provide final honors to all those who have faithfully served our Nation. We recognize there are many veterans who go without military funeral honors, even though they have earned them, for their service to our county. This includes veterans that have received veteran honors (honors conducted by Veteran Service Organizations without an active military presence).

To recognize these veterans, we conduct group services throughout the year and throughout the state to ensure all veterans receive proper honors for their service to our Country. The group services include a military chaplain, ceremonial flag fold, Taps, a three volley rifle salute, and recognition by name of each veteran and his or her service.
