19K MOS-T

This course is structured into a "Distance Learning" Phase I and "resident" Phase II. The course is performance oriented and designed to qualify individual students in the 19K MOS. Upon completion, the student will be able to perform the tasks necessary for skill level 1 proficiency.

Course Scope

The 19K MOS-T Phase I for TY08 is taught in 2 modes. If you enroll in class 001 it is a NON-RESIDENT (done from home, office, library etc…) distance learning class that is expected to be taken within 6 months of phase II. The other Phase I option is a 5 day dL class conducted in Resident mode at the 1-204th RTI(AR). Phase 1(dL) is a Web based distance learning course that is hosted by the UNIVERSITY OF MOUNTED WARFARE through the Learning Management System at Ft. Knox KY. The University of Mounted Warfare log-in is pulled from Army Knowledge Online, it is imperative that you are able to log-in to AKO with your current Username and Password.

The 19K MOS-T Phase II is 16 days in duration with day 1 and 16 scheduled as travel and processing. The course is performance oriented and designed to qualify individual students in MOS 19K, (skill level 10). There are approximately 140 hours of training with the majority conducted as hands on practical exercises.

Course Prerequisites

Soldier must have completed Basic Training as a member of any US Military Service (Active or Reserve Component), must meet the requirements prescribed in DA Pam 611-21 for MOS 19K (Min Physical PLUHES-111121) (Max HT-73”) (ASVAB-CO 90) (AHRC), rank PVT(E-1) through SFC(E-7) or have an approved OCOA waiver, and must be qualified in an MOS other than 19K.

Phase 1 (dL) must be completed before taking Phase 2. Solders have up to 6 months to complete the Phase I (dL), a Phase 2 registration is required in ATRRS to identify the 6 month window. Soldier must complete the two phases of the course within one year from registration in ATRRS.
