TASS Unit Pre-execution Checklist
REPORTING IN
Report to 3/204th LDR, Bldg, 921, Gowen Field
NLT 1600 on the course report date. Students may report in civilian attire.

AIR: Transportaion to Gowen Field is available for those arriving at Boise Municiple Airport by calling 208-272-4873. MUST CALL PRIOR to 1600 hrs.

POV: No earlier than 0900 and no later that 1600.

If you cannot meet the reporting time, you must notify the school Headquaters by calling (DSN) 272-4873 or (COMM) 208-272-4873 prior to 1600 on report date.

Students arriving after the 1600 report time
Call 272-4850 for a phone message that will instruct you to pick-up your room key at the front gate and report to the class leader.

You will be required to take a taxi to Gowen Field (this cost is reimbursable, keep your receipt).

The dining facility stops serving dinner at 1830. If you can not report in time, you may want to consider eating at the airport.

Early Arrivals: It is recommended that you not arrive prior to report date as quarters and rations may not be available. If you have no alternative, you must coordinate with 3/204th Headquarters for advanced billeting. Gowen Field will not issue statements of non-availability for billeting. If your orders indicate otherwise, contact your Headquarters to have them corrected.

Course Information

Officer Candidate School - Phase 0
One weekend drill will be held each month in March, April and May, conducted at Gowen Field. Administrative in-processing is conducted to ensure all applicants meet the minimum enrollment criteria. Drill and ceremony, physical fitness, and land navigation training are conducted to prepare the applictnts for Phase I. Applicants musst pass an Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) during this phast prior to being accepted into the program.

Officer Candidate School - Phase II  
IDT Weekends will take place for 12 months from July to June. Candidates are assigned to the 204th RTI. Candidates will perfect the skills previously learned and concentrate on military subjects such as ethics, military justice, logistics, personnel administration, NBC, tactics and patrolling.

WOC Course
Warrant Officer Candidate School trains personnel in leadership, ethics, professional development, communicative arts, personnel management, military history, employment, tactics, support, structure of the Army and common military training.

Small Group Instructor Course
The small group instructor course applies specified small group methods while developing team building skills, facilitating group process; developing decision making/problem solving skills; modeling army leader values and applying communication skills.

Instructor Training Course
This course is mandatory to be come an Army Instuctor.

EMT Basic Recertification
The emergency medical technician recert course available for annual recertification.

BNCOC Common Core - Phase I
This initial phase of BNCOC is available for any CMF. Students are pushed mentally as well as physically to become better Soldiers and strong leaders.

68W Sustainment Course
IAW AR 40-68, Chapter 4-3 Basic license, certification and registration criteria a) Soldiers possessing 91W MOS are required to obtain and maintain certification by the nation Registry.
Certification will be at a minimum at the basic level (EMT-B). ARNG will be NREMT certified and meet all requirements for the MOS by 30 SEP 2009.

Combat Lifesaver Course (Initial)
The initial course takes 4 days. The course will be held at Gowen Field, and will run from 0800 - 1600.
Students who successfully complete the entire CLS Course will receive 40 credit hours from the Army
Institute for Professional Development. Recertification is still performed annually. The recertification
course can be completed in one to two days.
